I had a student move into the district last year as a fourth grader. In our school, all cards were stacked against him because our math program is difficult, he was the new kid, , and he was a foster child. He really struggled last year, but started coming to homework heroes and began improving by leaps and bounds....

Christmas is all about giving and at times some
families have a difficult time providing for their families. As
always, the Shallowater community (family) pulled together and
helped these families in need during the holidays. Several members
of the Baptist Church, Community and school organizations adopted
several CIS students and their families for the Christmas Holidays

gowns
*Gowns must be dry cleaned
*Gown must not be in need of repair
*We will have a drive by and drop off your dry cleaned gown event on February 20th from 9:00-3:00 at Intimate Expressions.
*Drop off locations in Lubbock are Intimate Expressions and CIS Admin Offices

*Gowns will go to junior and senior girls (at CIS high school campuses, including rural)
*Girls will be selected by CIS Coordinators based on need
*The gown event will be held at TBS hotel on TBA date
*Girls will be invited to "shop" for that special gown
*Local area merchants have shown their support by donating - dresses, make-up, body and hair care items, and jewlery
