I had a student move into the district last year as a fourth grader. In our school, all cards were stacked against him because our math program is difficult, he was the new kid, , and he was a foster child. He really struggled last year, but started coming to homework heroes and began improving by leaps and bounds....

Christmas is all about giving and at times some
families have a difficult time providing for their families. As
always, the Shallowater community (family) pulled together and
helped these families in need during the holidays. Several members
of the Baptist Church, Community and school organizations adopted
several CIS students and their families for the Christmas Holidays
