South Plains Academy

Many children face challenges both inside and outside the classroom. Through a school-based coordinator, Communities In Schools strategically aligns and delivers needed resources so that students can focus on learning.

Ms. Lopez joined Communities In Schools in October 2010. Ms. Lopez earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work from Texas Tech University and a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Houston. She has worked with children and families in a variety of settings, including head start centers, schools and mentoring programs for almost 10 years. Ms. Lopez hopes to continue be an advocate and source of support for children and families in need.
