Many children face challenges both inside and outside the classroom. Through a school-based coordinator, Communities In Schools strategically aligns and delivers needed resources so that students can focus on learning.

Communities In Schools has partnered with Roosevelt ISD since August 2008.

Mrs. Fickes is the CIS Campus Coordinator for all campuses in the Roosevelt Independent School District. She is also mom to her very own Roosevelt Eagle. She has lived in Lubbock with her husband, David, since August 1999 and has worked at Roosevelt since March 2009. Working at Roosevelt has brought many wonderful future leaders into her family's life, including five brothers and sisters they sponsor at Texas Boys Ranch and two brothers they sponsor at Children's Home of Lubbock.
