Many children face challenges both inside and outside the classroom. Through a school-based coordinator, Communities In Schools strategically aligns and delivers needed resources so that students can focus on learning.

Mrs. Salas grew up in Amarillo TX and attended Tascosa HS. She attended Texas Tech University and studied Human Development and Psychology. Mrs. Salas went on to pursue and obtain a graduate degree in Counseling at West Texas A&M University. She has worked for Communities In Schools for 5 years. Mrs. Salas is married to Daniel Salas and has a handsome two year old named Donavan.
